February 2024 - eternity

In a world bustling with life's hurried pace, it's easy to overlook the delicate beauty that surrounds us. Yet, within the hustle, there lies a serene elegance waiting to be noticed. This floral art series is a gentle reminder to pause, breathe, and look around, for beauty is not a rarity but a constant presence. Each piece within this collection is a celebration of the unnoticed.

The series started in February 2024, and will never end - just as there is no end to beauty.

"It's Blooming Everywhere" captures the essence of these fleeting moments, inviting to rediscover the beauty that is always there, just waiting to be seen. It's a reflection on the beauty of simplicity and a tribute to the art of observation. This series is a testament to the fact that beauty is not confined to the extraordinary but is, in fact, woven into the fabric of our everyday lives. All one needs is the willingness to see it.

Have a pleasant journey.

"Dance"

The series starts with a dance - dynamic yet static, simple yet chaotic.

Capturing a moment of pure beauty, delicate flowers sway gracefully, their gentle movements reminiscent of a serene dance. Each petal and stem seems to move to an unheard melody, creating an enchanting display of nature's elegance. It is, in fact, an invitation to pause and appreciate the simple yet captivating beauty of the floral world, a reminder of the hidden wonders that surround us in everyday life.

"Wide Eyes Blooms"

"Wide Eyes Blooms" is a collaborative project by Yulia Shemchuk and Polina Bulgakova, two women, artists and friends. The project explores the concept of beauty, highlighting its presence in every corner, whether near or far, in moments of purity or amidst imperfection. The project suggests that a simple shift in perception, coupled with an imaginative gaze, can transform the world into a vibrant tapestry of blossoms. The key message is to open one's eyes widely and believe in the possibility of this transformation, encouraging viewers to see the beauty that surrounds them.

"Cure"

"Cure" is a visualization of healing power of love and nature's remarkable ability to rejuvenate the spirit. It's a poignant reminder of the deep connection between humanity and the natural world, illustrating how our interactions with nature can bring about profound healing and renewal.

"Will Not Be Silenced"

In recent years, the world has witnessed a disturbing erosion of freedom of speech in Russia. Under the dictatorial regime, individuals who dare to speak out against injustices are met with severe consequences, including imprisonment and even death. The tragic killing of Alexei Navalny, a prominent opposition figure, stands as a stark example of the lengths to which the regime will go to silence dissent.

Russian citizens are denied basic human rights, such as the right to express their opinions freely and peacefully. Those who oppose the government's aggressive actions, particularly in conflicts like the war in Ukraine, are labeled as enemies of the state and subjected to persecution.

The imprisonment of individuals for simply expressing anti-war sentiments or thoughts is a grave violation of fundamental human rights. It reflects a regime that is intolerant of criticism and seeks to maintain power through fear and oppression.

Despite these challenges, there are brave individuals in Russia who continue to speak out against the regime's abuses. Their courage and resilience serve as a reminder of the importance of defending freedom of speech and standing up against tyranny wherever it may arise.

This artwork stands for them, and especially for Boris Nemtsov, Alexei Navalny, Yulia Navalnaya, and others who keep believing and fighting.
